Ingredients

  • 3 cup milk
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 4 cup Wholemeal self raising flour

Instructions
 

  • Sift flour and sugar together into a bowl with a pinch of salt.
  • Whisk milk and egg together, then add to dry ingredients, whisking until smooth.
  • Heat a non-stick fry pan over medium heat and grease. Drop level tablespoonfuls of the mixture into the pan and cook for half a minute or until bubbles appear on the surface.
  • Turn over and cook other side for 1 minute until golden.
  • Allow to cool and serve with small amount of jam or honey

1. Milk (Dairy)

  • Modification: Use a plant-based milk alternative (such as oat, rice, coconut, or almond milk—choose soy/nut-free if needed).
2. Egg

  • Modification: Replace each egg with 1 tbsp chia or flaxseed meal mixed with 3 tbsp water (let sit to gel), or use a commercial egg replacer.
3. Wheat/Gluten
  • Source in recipe: Wholemeal self-raising flour (contains wheat and gluten)
  • Modification: Use a gluten-free, wheat-free self-raising flour blend.
