Spaghetti bolognaise – Low FODMAP
FODMAP Recipe
Ingredients
1 teaspoon Oive oil garlic infused
1 tablespoon Olive oil
4 Short cut Bacon Finely diced (150g), 4 slices
50 g Spring onion finely chopped, only green part
1 Carrot grated
½ Red Capsicum deseeded and finely diced
1 teaspoon Pepper cracked black
1 teaspoon Thyme dried
5 tablespoons Tomato paste
500 g Beef mince
400 g Tomato puree canned
33 g Parsley finely chopped
Instructions
- Heat the oils in a saucepan, then add bacon, spring onion tops, carrot, capsicum, pepper and thyme and fry for about 5-8 minutes
- Reduce the heat and add the tomato paste and mince and stir ensuring all the mince is broken up with no lumpsas it lightly browns
- Increase the heat and add the canned tomatoes, stir and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat, cover and simmer while occasionally stirring for about 15 minutes
