Spaghetti bolognaise – Low FODMAP

FODMAP Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon Oive oil garlic infused
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 4 Short cut Bacon Finely diced (150g), 4 slices
  • 50 g Spring onion finely chopped, only green part
  • 1 Carrot grated
  • ½ Red Capsicum deseeded and finely diced
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper cracked black
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme dried
  • 5 tablespoons Tomato paste
  • 500 g Beef mince
  • 400 g Tomato puree canned
  • 33 g Parsley finely chopped

Instructions
 

  • Heat the oils in a saucepan, then add bacon, spring onion tops, carrot, capsicum, pepper and thyme and fry for about 5-8 minutes
  • Reduce the heat and add the tomato paste and mince and stir ensuring all the mince is broken up with no lumpsas it lightly browns
  • Increase the heat and add the canned tomatoes, stir and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat, cover and simmer while occasionally stirring for about 15 minutes
