Spaghetti bolognaise – Low FODMAP
FODMAP Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon garlic-infused olive oil
- 1 tablespoon Olive oil
- 4 Short cut Bacon Finely diced (150g), 4 slices
- 50 g Spring onion finely chopped, only green part
- 1 Carrot grated
- ½ Red Capsicum deseeded and finely diced
- 1 teaspoon Pepper cracked black
- 1 teaspoon Thyme dried
- 5 tablespoons Tomato paste
- 500 g Beef mince
- 400 g Tomato puree canned
- 33 g Parsley finely chopped
Instructions
- Heat the oils in a saucepan, then add bacon, spring onion tops, carrot, capsicum, pepper and thyme and fry for about 5-8 minutes
- Reduce the heat and add the tomato paste and mince and stir ensuring all the mince is broken up with no lumpsas it lightly browns
- Increase the heat and add the canned tomatoes, stir and bring to the boil. Reduce the heat, cover and simmer while occasionally stirring for about 15 minutes
