Our Accredited Practising Dietitians are specialists in their field with more than 10 years experience each in a hospital setting in their particular interest. This level of expertise is unique to My Nutrition Clinic and gives our clients absolute confidence that they are receiving the most accurate and up-to-date advice available.

Our objective is to provide you with the right information during individual consultations to empower you to make great food choices to best suit your health in the long term.

Cherie Hugo, Older Adult Dietitian (Director)

As Director of My Nutrition Clinic,  founder of The Lantern Project, and PhD scholar in the area of aged care nutrition through Bond University, Cherie is committed to demonstrating practical ways to improve quality of life through improvements in nutritional status. Cherie has a firm grounding in clinical dietetics with 10 years as the sole dietitian at John Flynn Hospital (and 3 years as sole dietitian at Pindara Private Hospital). She has run private practice over the past 15 years and recently developed and implemented the 6 week PosAbility Program focused on empowering community clients with disabilities around nutrition.

Anna D’Arcy, Healthy Weight Dietitian (Director)

Anna is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Director of My Nutrition Clinic who has worked for over two decades in the development and delivery of weight management programmes for adults and children. Anna has a Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics along with a Masters in Public Health and has worked in both Australia and London (UK). Anna is passionate about helping people use food and nutrition to improve their health and well-being. She uses a combination of simple food swaps, increased understanding about the science of nutrition and behaviour change techniques.

Anna can help with the following:

Molly Warner, Accredited Practising Dietitian.
Certified FODMAP Dietitain (Monash University). Microbia gut microbiome practitioner. Motivational interviewing and non-diet approach. 

Molly is an Accredited Practising Dietitian who uses nutrition therapy to improve health, comfort and happiness. Molly lives with Coeliac disease herself and she really “gets it” in terms of living with uninvited dietary restrictions. Molly’s personal experience has led to her professional interest in gut health and the impact it can have on almost all aspects of health including the immune system, mental health and chronic and autoimmune diseases.

Molly is a certified FODMAP dietitian through Monash University and a trained ‘Microba’ gut microbiome practitioner. She is also trained in motivational interviewing and the non-diet approach and she uses these approaches daily in the clinic and in a group program called ‘My Health for Life’. Because of these skills, Molly is our preferred practitioner for anyone who is ready to ditch ‘dieting’ and try a health-focussed approach to achieve a better relationship with food.

Aloysa Hourigan, Gastrointestinal Disease and Eating Disorders. 

Aloysa has over 20 years of experience as a Dietitian and has worked for Nutrition Australia and running her own private practice in Brisbane. In addition to her dietetic qualifications, Aloysa has a Graduate Diploma in Counselling from the Queensland University of Technology.

Having a counseling qualification alongside expertise in nutrition and food has led Aloysa to focus on the area of eating disorders and has a great deal of compassion and experience providing support for long-term recovery. Aloysa sees clients with eating disorders both in Robina Private Hospital and in our clinic. Having 20 years working in private practice and with Nutrition Australia has given Aloysa extensive experience helping clients manage the symptoms of a wide range of gastrointestinal disorders leading to improvements in quality of life and stronger gut health.

Aloysa has a great passion for food and for all things associated with the social pleasure of eating and its impact on health.

Jaimon Kelly, APD, Kidney Dietian

My Nutrition Clinic Renal Dietitian Dr Jaimon Kelly has a PhD in chronic kidney disease nutrition and has published over 25 publications and authored 2 book chapters on the topics of kidney and chronic disease management through nutrition. He is an experienced educator and is a Research Fellow at Griffith University and an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Bond University. Jaimon supervises dietetic student, for both clinic and research placements and delivers GP and nurse training, and public workshops.

Jaimon has a Masters of Nutrition and Dietetics (Griffith University) and a PhD in Chronic Kidney Disease nutrition (Bond University). He has experience working clinically (in hospitals and medical units) and in private practice. He is passionate about improving the health outcomes for people with chronic conditions including kidney disease, cardiovascular disease, liver disease and eating disorders. His major focus will always be finding what works best for you and explaining what is happening in your body.  He can help you have better control of your health and advise on diets for kidney disease, liver disease, cardiovascular disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, weight management, IBS and low FODMAP diets, gout, diabetes, eating disorders and chronic pain.

Sophie Szczudlo, Accredited Practising Dietitian

Sophie Szczudlo graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics. Her interest in nutrition gathered momentum during her teenage years where she experienced increase vitality, physical, and mental health through eating well and leading an active, healthy lifestyle.

Sophie is passionate about providing evidence-based, personalized nutrition advice to her patients to enable them to achieve their goals and work towards maintaining a balanced and healthy way of life. She believes equipping patients with the right nutrition knowledge is crucial in ensuring that good health is achievable and sustainable. Sophie strives to educate her patients about the power of nutrition and the positive health benefits that stem from a healthy eating pattern.

Amanda Turbill, Food Allergy and Intolerance Dietitian

Having three allergic and food intolerant children myself, I understand the challenges people face in every environment and situation I still find shopping and cooking for my family to be one of the biggest challenges and delights I have yet faced as a Dieititian.

While mouth ulcers, nausea, colic, irritable bowel, headaches, fatigue, irritability, sinus, asthma, hives and eczema can be attributed to a spectrum of causes, intolerance to food chemicals can sometimes be the underlying factor. Often overused as an explanation without correct investigation, or mislabelled as a food allergy, food chemical intolerance can be a real problem if not pinpointed and managed correctly.

Jacqui Palmer,  Paediatric Dietitian

Jacqui has been a Dietitian for 20 years in both Queensland and London. Jacqui has worked in some of London’s largest hospitals and witnessed such courage and determinate in the children she helped that she became committed to improving their quality of life though better nutrition.  In London, Jacqui worked as a clinical paediatric dietitian at the prestigious Royal London, St Barts and Lewisham Hospitals. Jacqui has developed significant experience in complex allergies, faltering growth, diabetes (Type 1 and 2) and Autistic Spectrum disorder.

Holly Charlton Sports Dietitian

Holly is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Sports Dietitian interested in sport and fitness nutrition focusing towards food allergy and intolerance and, eating disorders (& disordered eating). She is passionate about educating and empowering individuals through nutrition, seeking to fully understand each person’s unique nutrition situation. Drawing on her knowledge and experience working with various athletes and sport teams, Holly works with each client to achieve their desired health, fitness and athletic goals.
